In this two-hour class, participant will learn the basics of wheel-throwing, starting with centering and opening the clay, pulling up the walls, and shaping the form of your piece. Our experienced instructors will guide you through each step, ensuring that you feel comfortable and confident in using the pottery wheel.
Once you've completed your wheel-thrown piece, you'll move to the hand-building table to add personalized details such as handles, textures, or carving. This is where you can really make your piece unique and special for your mom.
Throughout the class, you'll have access to a variety of tools and glaze colors to choose from, allowing you to get creative and make your piece truly one-of-a-kind. Our staff will take care of the firing and glazing process, so all you have to do is pick up your finished piece in about 4-6 weeks.
This class is perfect for beginners, aged 6 and older, and no prior experience is necessary. All materials, including clay and tools, are provided, so you and your mom can simply show up and enjoy a fun and creative experience together.
